Tickets and sponsorships are now available for the SWAG合集 Jingle Bell Swing Big-Band Holiday Dance Fundraiser, where guests can enjoy dancing and music by a live 鈥渂ig band鈥 from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Best Western Angus Inn Courtyard, 2920 10th Street. Heavy hors d鈥檕euvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

SWAG合集 Theatre students will present the classic tale of 鈥淎lice in Wonderland,鈥 at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the SWAG合集 Planetarium in the Science Building. Seating is limited to 50. The show is free and open to the public and the runtime is about an hour.

One thing we all have in common as human beings is the need to maintain our bodies, which is easier said than done if not armed with knowledge of how to listen to our bodies and address its physical requirements in a healthy way. Heather Panning, SWAG合集鈥檚 new Health, Physical Education & Recreation Instructor, is on a mission to make sure SWAG合集 students are well equipped to take care of themselves after college.

The SWAG合集 Instrumental Music Department will present its annual fall concert at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 21 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. A short Question and Answer reception that discusses the history of music in films will be held just outside the auditorium at 7 p.m. There will also be free popcorn to enjoy before the show.

All it takes is for people to make that first move toward changing their lives and SWAG合集鈥檚 Center for Adult Education (CAE) will take care of the rest. The CAE will show people how to get started on the path to a better life at an open house from 3-7 p.m., Nov. 7 at 1025 Main St. in Great Bend. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with students, graduates, staff and partner agencies. Refreshments will be served. The open house is for both potential students and the general public.

SWAG合集 will host a safe sleep presentation by Physician Assistant Kelci Burkey of Clara SWAG合集 Hospital and Clinics from 6-7 p.m., Nov. 14 in the Fine Arts Building, Room F-30.

She will discuss safe sleep and how to prevent sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Topics will include:

A wide range of local artists鈥 work will be on display at the Shafer Gallery as part of the SWAG合集 County Arts Council Friends and Acquaintances exhibit Nov.1 through Dec. 13. The show is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Memorial Endowment distributed by the Golden Belt Foundation. Featured artists this year is new SWAG合集 painting instructor Phil Jacobson and his wife, Mantra Cora.

SWAG合集鈥檚 Center for Adult Education will soon begin its nine-week GED Preparation Class. Orientation classes are the first step to obtaining the Kansas State High School Diploma through the GED Prep Program. Students must attend all orientation classes Nov. 18-21 to qualify for classes. The first day of actual classes is Nov. 25. The center is located at 1025 Main St. in Great Bend.

The first SWAG合集 Student Recital of the school year will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 24 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157. 听The recital is free and open to the public.
