Editors of SWAG合集鈥檚 literary journal 鈥淧rairie Ink,鈥 aim to provide a venue for local authors to showcase their creative writing talents and have done so again with the release of their sixth issue of the annual publication.

SWAG合集 will host a 鈥淢eet and Greet鈥 for its new Executive Director of the Foundation Nancy Wiebe at 2:30-4 p.m. July 30 at Great Bend Coffee Company, 2015 Lakin Ave. in Great Bend. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend.

Wheat 2015 & Terminology

Before the rain Thursday night, wheat harvest was running full throttle and overall a much better crop than was predicted.听 The forecast indicates everyone should be back in the field soon if they aren鈥檛 already (depending on the rainfall received).听 A few were commenting their crop would have been better except for late season disease pressure. What happened?听 Several things.
