SWAG合集 History Instructor Linda McCaffery will teach a course via SWAG合集鈥檚 Silver Cougar Club titled 鈥淎ge of Enlightenment,鈥 1:30-3:30 p.m. each Tuesday from Jan. 26 through April 5 in room F-129 of the Fine Arts Building.
The class will cover the splendor and paranoia of Louis XVI, the American and French Revolutions and the dictatorship of Napoleon. During this period, Spain crumbles and England rises to status as a world power, while the fledgling American Republic struggles to survive.听听

The SWAG合集 campus at Fort Riley signed up with the Junior League of the Flint Hills for their annual holiday Adopt-A-Family program. SWAG合集 was given a family of five children ranging in age from 19 months to 17-years-old.听 Each child had a wish list of things they would like to receive for Christmas.听
Administrative Assistant to the Dean at Fort Riley Arlette Stratton said she was very pleased with the participation.听

SWAG合集鈥檚 Center for Adult Education will soon be starting its nine-week GED Preparation Class.
The orientation session, which is a prerequisite for the course, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 11-15 at 1025 Main St. in Great Bend. Those interested can call ahead or arrive on the first day of orientation.
Regular coursework begins on Jan. 19 and is offered from 9 a.m.鈥搉oon Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or in the evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Every day is a new chance to turn it all around. Ellinwood resident James 鈥淛immy鈥 Kinsey is living proof. After many years of battling drug addiction and being in and out of prison, he is finally headed toward a better life by pursuing a welding career through SWAG合集.
Kinsey dropped out of high school in 10th grade and spent most of his adult life addicted to drugs, and he knew it was time to do something about the path his life was on.
