SWAG合集 is offering woodworking courses from 6-9:45 p.m. on Mondays from January 8 to March 5 at Ellsworth High School, 211 W. 11th St. in Ellsworth.
The instructor will be David Weeks. Classes of various levels will be available including Woodworking I, Woodworking II and Individual Woodworking Projects. Each course will count for three credit-hours.听The cost is $324 per class and fees for materials used.

Theatre was never a part of the plan for Jared Steele, a freshman at SWAG合集 majoring in theatre who plans on graduating SWAG合集 in May.

The SWAG合集 Music Department is excited to announce the spring 2018 musical, 鈥淐urtains,鈥 a mystery comedy with music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb who wrote music for the highly acclaimed shows 鈥淐abaret鈥 and 鈥淐hicago鈥.
The musical is set during 1959 in Boston, Mass. at a theatre where police detective Frank Cioffi attends the opening night of a musical when during the curtain call the star of the show, Jessica Cranshaw, is murdered. It is up to Cioffi to solve the case and save the show.

SWAG合集 Voice Instructor Glenna Gaunt entered eight of her voice students in the Tabor Voice Festival Saturday, October 28 in Hillsboro. The vocal competition included the divisions of high school freshmen and sophomores, high school juniors and seniors, and college freshmen and sophomores, with the category of either classical or musical theatre. Students were required to perform one memorized song in either of the disciplines.

SWAG合集, Ellsworth Correctional Facility (ECF) and the Kansas Department of Corrections highlighted the success of about 140 inmates who have taken the initiative to pursue their educations while incarcerated at the 13th Annual Learning Celebration on November 2 at Ellsworth Correctional Facility.

SWAG合集 will be closed for Thanksgiving break Wednesday, Nov. 22, through Friday, Nov. 24. The college will resume its regular schedule on Monday, Nov. 27.
