The SWAG合集 Instrumental Music Department will present its annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m., April 23 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The concert will feature instrumental music inspired by various geographical locations! Doors open at 6:30 p.m.听
This years鈥 experience will feature the SWAG合集 Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, and the SWAG合集 Rock Band.听
SWAG合集 Dance Theater will host a magical, fantasy-inspired spring concert titled 鈥淥nce Upon a Time鈥 at 7 p.m. April 29 and 30 in the Fine Arts Auditorium with a live-stream option available. Children ages 4 and younger get in free. Buying tickets in advance is recommended and additional ticket information can be found at shows.bartonccc.edu.听

Dave Raynor has graced the stage with famous musicians such as Chuck Berry, Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers and Andy Williams to name a few. He鈥檚 played music all over the world and is a true master of guitar, and recently he took time out of his day to talk with students in SWAG合集鈥檚 History of Rock and Roll class.听

SWAG合集鈥檚 Center for Adult Education will soon begin another nine-week GED Preparation Class. However, orientation sessions are required before starting the class.听
Students must attend all orientation sessions in-person, which will be held on May 11, 13 and 18. Students have the option of a 1-4 p.m. or 6-9 p.m. time slot.听

SWAG合集 has announced its spring 2021 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society initiates.听
PTK is the international honor society for two-year colleges and symbolizes excellence in higher education. 听Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are invited to join PTK. The PTK group at SWAG合集 spends significant time sponsoring local events as well as volunteering to support others鈥 events.
SWAG合集 students will give a special performance of dances, then lead a craft using basic household items to make a crown, teach storybook dances and much more. Children are encouraged to attend dressed up as their favorite fairytale characters. The cost is $10 per child and the event will be held on Zoom. Tickets are available at shows.bartonccc.edu.

On March 20, SWAG合集鈥檚 STEM Club welcomed 4H鈥檈rs from around the region to participate in 鈥淪pace Day鈥 to help inspire kids鈥 imaginations and explorative spirit with STEM-inspired activities that increased the attendees鈥 knowledge and allowed their creativity to soar.听
