SWAG�ϼ�

The SWAG�ϼ� Music Department will present a choral concert alongside the Central Kansas Community Choir, and the Hutchinson Community College Choir for two performances of Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem Mass,” at 7:30 p.m. April 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the SWAG�ϼ� Campus and again on April 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Hutchinson.

Potential students will have an opportunity to gear up for the fall semester during SWAG�ϼ�’s popular “Enrollment Day” sessions, which start on April 15 and will continue throughout the summer.

Otherworldly 3D art will be front and center at the Shafer Gallery’s “Sci-Fi Ceramics” event, led by artist John Hamilton April 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ceramics Lab, in the Technical Building, room T-151.

SWAG�ϼ�’s Shafer Art Gallery will open its “Vortex Day,” art show March 10 featuring a variety of 2D and 3D pieces from local high school artists from across the region.

Being an active-duty member of the military equates to a hectic lifestyle, and oftentimes, soldiers are so preoccupied with their daily tasks and training that getting a college education is the last thing on their minds, but even with his schedule full of military obligations, Isaias Hernandez graduated with his associate degree from SWAG�ϼ� at Fort Riley in December.

SWAG�ϼ� Music Department will present “Dance the Night Away,” an instrumental concert, at 7:30 p.m. March 13 in the Fine Arts Auditorium, featuring songs known to make people want to get up and cut a rug.

After graduating from SWAG�ϼ�’s Construction Tech program in just one semester, Great Bend native Brecken Carroll immediately found employment and started earning a living as part of the window installation crew at MPIRE Improvements and Overhead Door of Great Bend.
