The SWAG合集 Theatre Department will present the whimsically magical comedy 鈥淧uffs,鈥 by Matt Cox, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26, 27, and 28 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

The SWAG合集 Theatre Department will hold auditions for its spring production of the classic story 鈥淐hitty Chitty Bang Bang鈥 at 2 p.m. Nov. 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. All roles and technical positions will be cast. Those auditioning do not need to prepare anything but will need to be prepared to dance.
The SWAG合集 Instrumental Music Department will present a pair of exchange concerts with Sterling College at 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at Sterling College, and at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free for both concerts.
The Shafer Gallery will host the 鈥淢cKown Masquerade Ball鈥 for guests ages 21 and over featuring a costume contest, live music, and hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in the Gallery, and the event also serves as a kickoff party for the 鈥淔riends and Acquaintances鈥 Community Art Exhibit, which is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Memorial Endowment and distributed by the Golden Belt Community Foundation.

Christian Rivas wanted real-life experience in law enforcement before he sought to attain his long-time goal of teaching college-level criminal justice. He was able to get that experience at the Great Bend Police Department (GBPD) and now is the instructor/coordinator for the Criminal Justice Program at SWAG合集.
