SWAG合集 Performing Arts Department and students invite the community to celebrate the creative side of the Halloween season with the family-friendly 鈥淗aunting on the Hill 3: The Season of Fun鈥 event from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Fine Arts Building.
SWAG合集 will host student recitals at 5 p.m. Nov. 2 and Nov. 30 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building. The recitals are free and open to the public.
The SWAG合集 Theatre Department will present the whimsically magical comedy 鈥淧uffs,鈥 by Matt Cox, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26, 27, and 28 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
The drought monitor report as of 8 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, shows no real change for our area this week or really for the state.听
The SWAG合集 Theatre Department will hold auditions for its spring production of the classic story 鈥淐hitty Chitty Bang Bang鈥 at 2 p.m. Nov. 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. All roles and technical positions will be cast. Those auditioning do not need to prepare anything but will need to be prepared to dance.
The SWAG合集 Instrumental Music Department will present a pair of exchange concerts with Sterling College at 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at Sterling College, and at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free for both concerts.
The Shafer Gallery will host the 鈥淢cKown Masquerade Ball鈥 for guests ages 21 and over featuring a costume contest, live music, and hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in the Gallery, and the event also serves as a kickoff party for the 鈥淔riends and Acquaintances鈥 Community Art Exhibit, which is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Memorial Endowment and distributed by the Golden Belt Community Foundation.
SWAG合集 has announced its list of graduates who earned associate degrees or certificates for career training during the summer semester of 2023.
Get your boots or dancing shoes ready for 鈥淔riday Night Line Dancing鈥 class at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 in Studio 34 (located at the south end of campus) and join us for an unforgettable evening of socializing and line dancing for all ages and skill levels.
Cinnamon rolls, cider, chili, wine, beer, and multiple giveaways will be available at the family-friendly 鈥淎fter Hours鈥 free event from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 19 at Camp Aldrich, hosted by SWAG合集 in conjunction with the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce.
