SWAG合集 will help area high school seniors plan for their futures at Senior Day, starting at 9 a.m. Nov. 20, with a sign-up deadline of Nov.听4. Those interested can sign up at听.
The annual senior day will feature campus tours, sessions with advisors and admissions representatives, housing information, and much more.听Most importantly, students and parents can learn the countless benefits of attending SWAG合集 before attending a four-year college or choosing a career program to enter the workforce.听
All participants will be entered in a drawing to win听two听$1,000 scholarships or one of听eight听$500 scholarships. Lunch is included.
Director of Admissions Tana Cooper encourages all seniors in the area to attend, even if they plan to go straight to a four-year school.
鈥淚t is a great idea to come and visit and fill out the听admissions application and take a look around campus,鈥 she said. 鈥淭hings are constantly being updated and evolving out here, and I think some of our local students would be surprised at how much has changed since they were last out here.鈥
Cooper also highlighted the SWAG合集 Bound Scholarship application.
鈥淭his scholarship program allows students from Kansas with GPAs from 2.5-4.0 to get scholarship dollars from SWAG合集,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 think it鈥檚 important students realize that awarded scholarship money turns into actual cash in their pockets later in life when they have all kinds of bills to pay and things they want to buy. This is money that can go towards a house down payment, car payment, or even a fun vacation later in life instead of student loan payments.鈥
Cooper said there is much to know about SWAG合集鈥檚 programs and opportunities.
鈥淪WAG合集 offers many of the same classes as four-year schools, but at about half the cost, and some of SWAG合集鈥檚 career and technical programs take only a year to complete and can lead to a rewarding career,鈥 she said.鈥淥f course, I would love SWAG合集 to be everyone鈥檚 first choice, but some students may already think they are going elsewhere.听 I always say it never hurts to come and visit and have a backup plan.鈥疘t鈥檚 a fun and free day.鈥
