“Let your GPA Pay the Way” scholarship program in full-swing at SWAGϼ; covers up to books and tuition

SWAGϼencourages potential students to let their “GPA Pay the Way” through theSWAGϼ Bound scholarship. The tiered programawardsfirst time college students who graduated from a Kansas high schoolbased on their GPA or ACT score.The deadline to apply for the scholarship is May 1(students graduating in December have a deadline of Dec.1).

There arethreelevels of awards offered:Excellence, Honor and Achievement awards.

Students with a GPA of 3.6or higher,or have an ACT score of 26 or higher,are eligible for an ExcellenceAward which covers student’s tuition and book fees.

Students with a 3.0-3.59 GPA or have an ACT score of 24 or 25 qualify for theHonorAward for a $1,000 scholarship.

Students with a 2.50-2.99 GPA or have an ACT of score 22 or 23 are eligible to receive TheAchievementAward of $800.

Admissions Director Tana Coopersaid theprogram is great because itprovides assistance fora wide range of students.

“TheSWAGϼ Bound Scholarshipis greatbecause even if your GPA isn’t as high as you had hoped by thetimeyou’re ready for college, you can still qualify for substantial scholarship money,” she said.
