SWAG合集 Automotive Technology student Ashley Revel knows full well the tremendous benefits derived from the . As a scholarship recipient for the 2015-16 school year, her dream to make a living as a certified mechanic is being realized.
鈥淭hank you so much for helping me to further my education,鈥 she wrote in a thank you note to the scholarship donor, Dove Buick Chevrolet Cadillac. 鈥淚鈥檝e looked into going back to school for a long time, but with two kids, now 12 and 9, that goal had been a distant one.鈥
Revel intends on earning Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, associate in applied science degree and eventually a master鈥檚 degree. She currently works in the automotive department at the Great Bend Walmart.
Revel is one of many students able to attend school thanks to scholarships provided through the SWAG合集 Foundation, but there is still a significant need for more. In an effort to build awareness and help more students, the SWAG合集 Foundation is participating in #GivingTuesday on Dec. 1, a national campaign localized by the Golden Belt Community Foundation and local participating nonprofits.
SWAG合集鈥檚 goal is to raise $10,000, the amount needed to establish an endowed scholarship, which perpetually funds students鈥 education from investment earnings every year, forever.
