The SWAG合集 Instrumental Music Department will present a pair of exchange concerts with Sterling College at 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at Sterling College, and at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free for both concerts.
The experience will feature the Prairie Winds Concert Band, directed by Jamie Minneman, and the Sterling College Band, directed by Larry Brownlee. The Sterling College Jazz Band will also perform. The SWAG合集 Jazz Band will also perform at the SWAG合集 Concert.
鈥淚 am so excited for all of these students to get to experience the 鈥淢usic of the Masters,鈥 she said. 鈥淟arry and I will each be conducting three pieces by the greatest wind band composers of all time, including Holst, Vaughan-Williams, Sousa, and others. These are the classics of our genre, and it鈥檚 important that our students are exposed to this music.鈥
