The SWAG合集 Music Department will treat the community to the breathtaking piano playing of Chiara D鈥橭dorico at 7:30 p.m. April 21 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission is free.
She will be presenting a program of Paraguayan classical music and will be joined by Argentinian pianist David Lonardi for some four-hand numbers. D鈥橭dorico is from Paraguay and has played all over the world with numerous groups including the world-famous Orquesta Sinfonica de la Ciudad de Asuncion. She has performed in Brazil, Colombia, U.S., Italy, France, The Vatican, Spain, Austria, Russia, South Africa, Lebanon, and India. Some of the most distinguished venues include The Kennedy Center, Pal谩cio Foz, Sal贸n Dorado del Teatro Col贸n, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, National Gallery of Canada, Palazzo Capizucchi, and Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya.听
D'Odorico has two albums that have been released: 鈥淧urah茅i che ret茫gua鈥 (nominated for the 2020 Gardel Awards for Best Classical Music Album) and 鈥淥frenda a mi tierra鈥 with the aim of disseminating Paraguayan academic music. She will have CDs for purchase after the concert.
