Calling all dancers! SWAG合集 is hosting the first round of auditions for its dance company, SWAG合集 Dance Theatre, from 10-11:15 a.m. March 28 in Studio 34, located in the Sunflower housing units on SWAG合集鈥檚 campus.听
Dance Theatre Students will have the opportunity to learn what it鈥檚 like to work in a dance company setting, perform in diverse venues, attend workshops and see dance concerts live. Students will get to experience the art form of dance in the styles of modern-contemporary, jazz, tap and ballet.
To be considered for company placement, dance students must have at least two years of dance experience and plan to attend SWAG合集 in the fall of 2020. Once accepted, students will register for DANC 1001 SWAG合集 Dance Theatre (2 credits) meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m.
SWAG合集鈥檚 Performing Arts Dance Program is offering generous performance scholarships to SWAG合集 Dance Theatre members. The dance program is also providing scholarships for students who wish to take other dance classes.
